Mika came to as a very skinny mare, with lameness in her feet and bite wounds from other horses. Her physical condition has improved by leaps and bounds, but she is still working on rebuilding her trust in people. Working with Mama is immensely rewarding, but she needs a very special handler with lots of horse experience. At the moment, Mama would make a lovely companion for a horse she is bonded with and would benefit from a significant amount of turn-out time. She received some training several years ago, and could be taught to do some light riding with a patient rider who can put in the time to continue her training.
